‘Tarang’ means Wave in Sanskrit and is used to describe a unique style of music in India where percussion instruments are played in a melodic and harmonic way. New Age Top-10 Billboard Artist Joss Jaffe is a classically trained and skillfully talented tabla player who has performed en ensemble with Legendary Tabla Maestros Ustad Zakir Hussain and Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri. Tarang showcases his unique, melodic and compositional approach to these ancient drums.

Mixed and mastered with additional production by Tim Donlou who has over 20 years experience as an experimental musician, mix/mastering engineer and currently QA lead at Universal Audio for the past 6 years.

Tarang is an immersive audio experience. The stereo mix feels like surround with an ultra wide field and depth that puts you inside the mind of tabla player. Best experienced in good stereo configuration or headphones, Tarang will put you inside the sound.
